One bad mother

I’ve been in prison, more than once, dependent on drugs, more than one, and an alcoholic. I am a Father to three, and a Grandfather to nine. And yet not once, often despite all evidence to the contrary, have I been labelled a ”Bad Father”, because of my liking to get obliterated.

So why then are women, even those who only use cannabis, labelled and slandered as “Bad Mothers”?

Why I joined Coact

My name is Mick Matthews and I am a Coact Consultant. I have been a member for some months now but I still take it one day at a time.

It was a no brainer to say yes when I was first invited to be a Coact Consultant, why? Because it was a chance to earn some money, obviously but more importantly because at a fundamental level Coact understands that people who use drugs ARE PEOPLE. Not statistics, not 'sickos', not deviants, just people.
